I haven't checked anything on here for about a week or so, and I probably won't until after next week. Next week is homecoming week, and I have to do everything since I'm class president. So, no, I didn't fall off the face of the earth, I'm just way too busy for my own good. My brain is going to be so relieved after next week; I won't understand the concept of free time.

Sorry, I've been doing a shitty job of keeping up with everybody. I'm so busy I need a calendar, a planner, a whiteboard, and sticky notes to keep my head straight. Imma go comment my heart out, now.

I don't know what to update with.

School isn't hard yet. My hair has looked decent every day since we started, new record. The musical is starting very soon, like next week. I need to situate makeup shirts for my crew. I need to go pick up my homecoming dress. It's cream and silky and adorable. I need to start thinking about homecoming- times to fold napkins and think of a hallway idea and float idea. My senior pictures are next Saturday. I need to get my hair cut before then, and pick outfits. I need more shirts, and sweaters. I saw a friend run his car into a gate yesterday. The gate went through his windshield on the passenger side, almost through the back windshield.

I have to go back to school now. Reading quiz time~

I have a week and three days until schools starts and I still need to read 200 pages in Jane Eyre, do three outlines on it, and take notes on a shitload of mythology characters. Minus time for marching band and work. All I want to do it sit around and watch Adventureland and Freaks and Geeks episodes over and over again.

I spent my weekend re-watching all three seasons of Arrested Development, and I just went to Wal*Mart is get another fish bowl and I found seasons one and two together for only $20. I could not feel more satisfied. I forgot how much I love that show, it is exactly my type of humor. I also remembered how much Michael Bluth reminds me of myself.

I bought a fish from Wal*Mart a few days ago and it's still alive. It's a red and blue male Betta, and it was in one of those little plastic containers on a shelf, not in the bigger tanks, so it felt more like I was saving it than just buying it.. I named it Oklahoma. Okie for short.

here's his bowl )

I just got my four cavities filled. I didn't feel the shots they gave me. It took 40 minutes. I get to have this awesome numbness for a few more hours. It feels so cool. And my dentist is so fucking nice, to top it off. Best dentist appointment ever, obviously.

Also, HP6 tonight, I am excited beyond belief.

So, I guess as of now I am planning on majoring in business/management in college. I won't go into detail about it, but my mother said I should look into state schools because it would obviously be more financially friendly and I don't need to go to a private school for a business degree. Which fucking pisses me off. I hate the thought of ending up at MSU. I could just move to NY after I get my degree and possibly go to grad school there, but the thought of staying in Michigan just kills me. Even if it is a hell of a lot different downstate.

I've become so torn about what I want my major to be in college. My mother asked me what I picture a day of work would be for me, and all I can think of is being an actor in tv shows/movies, or being a supervisor of a team of people that work for a tv show or movie - like a group of writers or director of the filming crew, or Alec Baldwin's character on 30 Rock. My mother suggested I get into the business side of it, because she knows the Vice President of Sony and blah blah blah he's obviously doing well and still gets to work in the media side of it, which I'm actually thinking about because I like to fucking control everything. I'm not trying to be conceited, but I'd do very well in a postion like that. I'm extremely analorganized and charasmatic enough, and I thrive on being in control in chaotic situations, or things that need to be efficiently done in a short amount of time. I suppose another way to say that is "I'm a leader". Plus, I get shit done. That would have been my slogan when running for class president, if allowed. I thought about jumping into a film major, but none of the careers really interest me enough to major in them... except for the fact that directors get to control everything.

Now that I re-read this, it's kind of obvious of what my career should be, but a business-type major just seems so... uncreative and cold. I need something creative, artistic, in the media. Maybe I'll just get lucky and be the head of a tv or film corporation. Ugh, this means I have to talk to my mother again and find out shit about that guy she knows.

It's July tomorrow and it's 63º outside, like wtf.

I went to the dentist yesterday morning and I have four cavities (two big, two little) and my wisdom teeth are coming in sideways. So, I have to go back for a cleaning next week, and then schedule an appointment for fillings, and then call an oral surgeon for wisdom teeth removal. BUT I got an adorable purple flower ring, and a pencil so whatwhat! I had to take out all my earrings and nose stud for the x-ray, and my nose piercing was half-way closed up by the time I got home, and I'm too much of a fucking wimp to pierce it myself, so I'm just letting it close up. :(

I went to see Year One again with [info]employeetheft  last night, and it was just as funny the second time around. I'm so excited for Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs and Funny People. My theater is too cheap to have the equipment for 3D movies, though, so I kind of want to drive away to see it. The last time we had a 3D movie at our theater was when Spy Kids 2 came out. :|

Oh yeah, and I got a 28 on my ACT.

Well, I got home from Lansing about 45 minutes ago. It was so much fun, I can't even explain. I'll post my pictures and videos on Facebook soon. Now, I have to catch up on shit - I've only been periodically reading my flist throughout the week I was gone.

I heard "Panama" on the radio on my way home and I felt way more cool than I should have while blasting it with my window down.

So, now I'm sucked into this:

Well, I'm glad the first one went through, but I realized I sound really valley girl and I thought I sounded more androgynous when I talked, but whatever.

I know I said I'd update on Friday, I guess I'm just too lazy. I am officially the class president of the graduating class of 2010! :D

I'm also too lazy to post the posters. A couple are on my Facebook, so a few of you have probably seen them. Everyone loved them at school, except someone took the Zac Efron picture (not that I care, but still).

Drum Major auditions are going to be sometime this week...Tuesday we're going out on the field and doing commands, and ngl I'm kind of excited to yell.

I saw Night At the Museum: The Battle Of the Smithsonian last night, and it was sooooooo funny. There was one point where I had tears coming out of my eyes thanks to Hank Azaria.

I'm cutting it short.[info]pjharveyfan  and I are going to Biggby.

How many different places (cities, houses, apartments, dorm rooms, etc.) have you lived in? Which is your favorite? And your least favorite?

Well, I was born in Chicago, Illinois. We lived there until I was 5. I guess my parents didn't want to raise two little kids in the north side of Chicago. :|

The first apartment was in New Chinatown, on Argyle Street. I don't really remember it. The second apartment was in Andersonville, on Foster & Clark. Most of my memories are from that place. I remember playing with some boys in the alley. And eating peanut butter by the finger-full, possibly getting caught. Making noodles with my father. Watching him and his friends paint. Looking at his vinyls. Watching the Cone Heads. Feeding, and accidentally killing my fish. Sneaking gum. Eating strawberries and sugar, and peanut butter Cap'n Crunch with my mother. Riding the subway down to Bennigan's where she worked. Good times, good times.

Then we moved here. I suppose it was a good choice to raise kids, because it's quiet, and there are only about 1,300 people living here. And one set of my grandparents lived here. Obviously Chicago was my favorite, even though I only have kid-like memories of it.

-----------------------------

On another note, I'm running for president of my class, and [info]pjharveyfan is running for vice president. It was a joke at first, but now we're all into it and shit, and we made some kickin' campaign posters. We vote Friday, so I'll post them then.

Well, I just left a number of communities and started just watching them instead because most of them I won't even post on, anyway. It's like...a cleansing.

I signed up to audition for drum major today and I know I'm going to be all :s when it comes around.

I found that Andy being my favorite Lonely Islander was just too unlike me when I realized I've begun to like Akiva more and more. :|

ETA: I just deleted a bunch of tags too, it feels goooood.
